PHP Web Developer £30-40k, London

We’re looking for a PHP Web Developer for a funky east end digital agency, a rapidly expanding independent creative agency specialising in web design, development, communications and online strategy & marketing. They’re looking for a PHP Developer to come on board and bring with them the ability to sculpt creative digital assets with efficient and elegant use of PHP and JavaScript.

Ideally we’re looking for a middleweight to senior web developer with 3-4 years agency experience to join our growing team, someone that is familiar with from the ground up web builds and using a variety CMS if the project is suited to them.

You will be working across large and small projects for clients ranging from pan-european brands to niche creative businesses, you will be asked to:
-Build sites from scratch including custom CMS elements developed by ourselves
-Work with client legacy systems
-Extend or manage our current client sites
-Add to our existing class libraries
-Manage junior team members and contractors where relevant
-Deal directly with client side technical teams

We’re looking for someone who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, You should have a desire to help the studio grow, be responsible for implementing good working day to day practices and delivering top class digital solutions. An understanding of the latest web technologies and trends is required and the ability to identify appropriate ways of pushing them to the forefront of our creative solutions. The ability to plan and organise a project, initiative and thinking on your feet are all important. You will need to contribute to and engage with the wider team in the studio, ensuring the design and development aspects of a project are fully integrated.

Technically we’re looking for:
-PHP, MySQL, Apache
XML, HTML, CSS
Javascript, AJAX / JQUERY
A thorough understanding of usability
Any .NET, AS3 and user testing skills would be a bonus

Senior Drupal Developer £40-50k, London

We’re working with a great new client, a leading Social Media Agency who builds Integrated Social campaigns on behalf of major UK and International brands, providing effective marketing campaigns backed up by market leading research using Social tools.

They’re currently looking for a Drupal Developer to work as a lead developer building websites and social modules to market and measure their client’s campaigns. We’re looking for a talented PHP Developer with an in depth understanding of the Drupal CMS (themeing and modules). You will need to understand functional and technical requirements as documented in wireframes and specification documents and how to implement them using Drupal and/or PHP. You will follow industry standard PHP and Drupal coding practices and write efficient code.

The ideal candidate should have the following skill set:
• Solid PHP or Drupal development experience
• Extremely proficient in core web development fundamentals, such as: XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proficient in AJAX and JQuery
• Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including usability and industry standards
• Must be able to demonstrate visually clean, crisp and intuitive web design abilities, strong analysis and creative problem solving skills, and attention to detail
• Coding skill set should allow completion of projects quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Knowledge and grounding in fundamental development principles – object orientation, patterns and testing procedures
Desirable skills
• Experience of working on agile projects
• Experience of continuous integration and testing frameworks, such as Hudson, Selenium

You will demonstrate a high degree of initiative; have excellent communication skills and a drive to get things done ahead of time and attention to detail. We’re after great technical skills, but we also expect you to bring more than just great development skills to the team.

Salary is in the region of £40-50k
